Job Description
MCS Group are delighted to be partnering with this public sector organisation in their search for an Accountant.
The role
- Prepare budgets, reports, and variance analysis.
- Assist in drafting Annual Accounts and maintaining Fixed Asset Register.
- Improve systems, policies, and processes for efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and internal controls.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and manage funding claims.
- Support business case preparation and scenario planning.
- Promote equality and complete mandatory training.
The Person
As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:
Essential:
- Be a part qualified / qualified accountant in a registered professional body
Possess experience in the following:
- Experienced in preparing management and year-end accounts, audits, and supervising staff.
- Skilled in data analysis and producing accurate financial reports.
- Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to manage tight deadlines.
Desirable:
- Previous experience working in the public sector.
