Job Description
The role:
- Recruit, mentor, and support staff to effectively lead their teams, fostering strong employee engagement.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate training and development programs for employees.
- Collaborate with management to offer advice and guidance on HR matters, ensuring best practices in employee relations, recruitment, absence management, management systems, and staff development.
- Align HR priorities with corporate objectives, business plans, and risk assessments, translating them into practical HR strategies and effective people management practices.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for managers and unions regarding operational issues.
- Keep workforce metrics accurate and up to date.
- Provide insights and recommendations on organizational restructures and workforce planning.
- Support the Learning & Development function in identifying departmental training needs.
- Stay informed of updates in employment legislation and best practices, ensuring HR policies are revised accordingly.
The Person
As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:
Essential:
- CIPD level 5 and working towards CIPD level 7
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the following:
- Providing HR Advice and guidance
- ER
- Strong record of implementing HR policy
- Working in partnership with a range of stakeholders - managers, trade unions and employees
- Managing conflict
