Job Description
The role
- Grant and Payment Oversight: Manage budget, grant payments, and quarterly financial draw downs.
- Process Improvement: Assist in streamlining financial reporting and claims processes to align with government policies.
- Financial Management: Assist in monitoring finances in accordance with public finance regulations.
- Finance management: Line management of a finance employee.
- Reporting and Compliance: Draft annual accounts, prepare management accounts, and liaise with auditors to address recommendations.
- Team support: Support the finance team in co-ordination with corporate goals and operational plans and targets.
The Person
As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:
Essential:
- Hold an IATI qualification OR be a part-qualified member of a professional accountancy body
- Experience to include: management of month end closure (reconciliation of accounts, compilation of month end management accounts)
- Involvement in internal or external audit processes
- Budget management
Desirable:
- Experience in the use of SAGE
