What the Role Involves
As the Head of Engineering, you will lead and inspire a team of engineers, shaping the delivery of cutting-edge digital solutions that align with strategic objectives.
You will oversee end-to-end software development processes, guide technical teams, and work closely with stakeholders to secure resources for innovative technologies. This role offers the chance to craft and implement a forward-thinking technical strategy that enhances user experiences and drives digital transformation.
Key Skills and Expertise
Must haves:
- Advanced programming knowledge (Open on language)
- Strong expertise in Domain-Driven Design and API management solutions.
- Comprehensive understanding of software architecture, development lifecycles, DevOps practices, Agile methodologies, and database systems.
- Proven leadership in software engineering, with a track record of managing teams effectively.
- Strategic planning and project management capabilities to foster innovation and collaboration.
- Ability to align technical goals with organisational priorities.
- Strong focus on maintaining security and compliance standards.
- Excellent multitasking and organisational skills.
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles.
Nice to haves:
- Industry specific certifications.
- Academic background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
- Experience with digital platforms is a real plus.
