Senior DevOps Engineer

MCS Group is excited to be partnering once again with an innovative technology driven Fintech organisation with offices in the UK, Ireland and Europe. The company have grown exponentially within their industry and are now ready to expand the team further. With a plethora of exciting characters and welcoming company culture, they are seeking to add a Dev Ops Engineer to their team on a permanent basis.

(Hybrid 2 days in office - Belfast)

Responsibilities:

• Design and deploy a robust Kubernetes (EKS) platform on AWS.
• Manage and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins etc
• Implement and oversee observability solutions with Datadog to monitor platform performance.
• Maintain and continuously improve our AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Review, streamline, document, and optimise deployment processes.
• Adhere to change management best practices in line with financial compliance standards.
• Collaborate with development teams to enable seamless self service capabilities.
• Provide support for incident response and platform troubleshooting.
• Evaluate and reduce cloud infrastructure costs for optimal resource efficiency.

Qualifications/experience required:

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a senior DevOps/Platform Engineering role
• Ideally candidates would come from a network/SRE background.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes especially AWS EKS.
• Datadog experience will be key to maintaining observability.
• Strong experience with IaC tools especially Terraform
• Happy to be on site 2 days per week.
• EU Citizenship is required for this role due to the nature of the business.

Salary / package for the next DevOps Engineer:

• Up to £75,000 DOE (Reviewed annually)
