HR Officer - Magherafelt - Professional Services - Permanent

MCS Group are thrilled to be working with an award winning, professional services organisation, based in Magherafelt, in the recruitment of an HR Officer to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will provide hands-on support throughout the HR function, ensuring all processes are managed and running smoothly.

The Role

Reporting into the HR Manager, the HR Officer will work alongside the growing HR team and provide support and guidance on all HR related issues. You will be responsible for the overall HR Generalist remit however you will have a key focus on Employee relations, Absence Management and Recruitment. Key Responsibilities include -

• Build strong relationships with management and provide accurate HR advice in line with company policies and procedures.
• Manage the recruitment and selection process end-to-end.
• Provide support in Learning and Development initiatives and empower management to make effective people decisions.
• Act as the first point of contact for any employee relations cases including conducting any grievances and disciplinaries
• Proactively manage sickness absence and identify absence triggers in line with company policies.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

The Person

To be successful in this role, you should have -

• 2 years' experience within an HR generalist remit
• Level 5 CIPD qualification
• Degree in HR or a relative field
• Strong experience in handling absence and employee relations cases.
• Ability to be flexible, adaptable and enjoy working with people.
