Job Description

HR Officer - IT Sector - Belfast - Maternity Cover

MCS Group is delighted to be working exclusively with a fantastic multi-national tech brand, in the recruitment of an HR Officer. This is a full-time, fixed term contract position, offering a competitive salary of up to £30k.

The Company

This is a fantastic opportunity for an HR Professional to join a forward-thinking organisation and play a key role in the day-to-day running of the HR function. HR is at the heart of the business, so this role is essential to providing a positive and productive work environment.

Key responsibilities for the HR Officer will include -

  • Develop strong relationships and a deep understanding of business functions to proactively identify how HR can support both personnel and operational priorities.
  • Coordinate the recruitment process, including posting job ads, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and facilitating onboarding.
  • Support and assist the HR Manager on the full employee lifecycle.
  • Manage employee recognition, and reward programmes, and support with the implementation.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning by providing resources and opportunities for professional development, such as mentoring, coaching, and cross-training.
  • Organise and oversee programs and activities that enhance employee engagement and create a sense of community within the organisation.

The Successful Candidate

To be successful in this role, you must have the following -

  • At least 2 years' experience in a generalist capacity, ideally at an Officer level.
  • Passionate about employee engagement.
  • Degree in HR or a relative field, or a CIPD qualification.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
