Controls Engineer

MCS Group is proud to be working with one of the top 20 global pharmaceutical companies, to recruit a Controls Engineer to join their growing team.

As a control engineer, you will be based in their maintenance department, and be responsible for control systems maintenance activities, comprising of both preventative and reactive maintenance.

You will;

• Ensure day-to-day electronic maintenance is carried out efficiently and effectively on a range of control systems and automated equipment whilst adhering to company SOPs.
• Enforce quality-driven methodologies for implementing changes.
• Improve equipment reliability
• Support new control systems and instrumentation design, installation and commissioning
• Provide technical support on control system specifications or applications
• Carry out computer control systems admin tasks
• Ensure all external contractors are adhering to procedures

Essential Requirements

• Have the right to work in the UK
• Hold a higher-level qualification in engineering and a minimum 3 years' experience
• In depth knowledge of process control and instrumentation
• Experience carrying out PLC-based control system
• Ability to understand PLC logic code
