Accounts Clerk - Debtors

The Role will consist of:

• Collaborate with the Revenue Accounts Manager to oversee Debtors function and associated income, ensuring accurate records in the trade waste database.
• Manage receipting, lodging, and transferring income data to the computerised accounts system, ensuring timely and accurate information.
• Handle customer inquiries, issue contracts, and maintain up-to-date customer records.
• Operate invoicing procedures, produce weekly sales invoices, and coordinate direct debit payments with customers and banks.
• Issue statements and reminders for unpaid accounts, perform debt collection processes, and reconcile revenue income, reporting variances.
• Provide a point of contact for income-related inquiries, offer training to new staff, and assist with cashier and creditors' functions.
• Adhere to policies and procedures, participate in performance improvement activities, and uphold health and safety standards and anti-discrimination practices.

The Person

As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:

• A minimum of 5GCSEs A-C Grade including Maths and English
• Be able to demonstrate 2 years' experience working within a busy finance environment, dealing with a range of stakeholders, using computerised packages, working within debt collection

OR

• Be able to demonstrate 4 years' experience working within a busy finance environment, dealing with a range of stakeholders, using computerised packages, working within debt collection
