ASOS, one of the world’s leading online fashion retailers needed to find a new source of talent across Data, Software and Cloud Engineering.
They wanted to launch and build a new centre of excellence, in a new location where they had no footprint of talent.
Working with MCS they outsourced their entire TA function for the project, allowing the initial TA team to focus on hiring in London and Birmingham.
The Challenge
The Challenge for ASOS was building the right leadership team to implement their ambitious plans to build to 120 over 2 years. While they planned to bring on several cross-trainers and graduates through their internal training programme, they wanted a leadership team who were both strong technically but had the ability and appetite to mentor and coach effectively.
The challenge wasn’t in gaining interest for the company, it was finding the best talent, and ensuring the candidate's experience was exceptional and at the heart of the recruitment process.
Prior to engagement with MCS, ASOS had an interview process lasting 24 days from the initial CV to the end of the process. Post-engagement with MCS, it is now under 10 Days, which enabled them to secure the talent they needed in a competitive market.
The Solution
MCS Group put a dedicated Partner solution in place with 3 Full Time Recruiters and a Senior Account Manager in place to only work for ASOS.
This allowed to us to partner effectively, reducing time to hire and interview to offer ratios throughout the 12-month project.
As well as this we took ownership for the launch, advertising, and employer branding for this new office location. As the Head of Technology, building a dedicated team is crucial, and MCS Group emerged as the true partner we needed. From the initial stages of planning to the final stages of recruitment, they demonstrated an unparalleled commitment to our success.
