Our first profile in our Lead the Charge series is our Head of Marketing and Communications, Una Donnelly. Una is the youngest member of our senior leadership team. Having joined MCS Group earlier this year, Una has slotted right into the business, check out her answers to our questions below. 

Tell us about your role within MCS

I am the head of marketing and communications at MCS group. I’m responsible for building relationships with potential and existing clients and candidates through marketing projects. I make sure our multi-channel marketing activity with all audiences is imaginative, grounded in insight and delivers on our strategic goals and brand ambitions. I also manage all the events, conferences, and sponsorships that MCS are part of, this includes Digital DNA, NI Science Fest and Ulster GAA (and lots more!)

What do you enjoy most about your job?

No two days are the same in my role and I love that! I am always talking to new people or starting new projects and it’s a very exciting department to be in, I have a great team who make every day a laugh which is so important to me.

What is one skill that helps you most in your role?

Communication is so key to my role; I am talking to people all day every day both online and in person, so I have to be a good listener and a great communicator.  

What is the most valuable piece of advice you have been given?

Whatever you decide to do, make sure it makes you happy.

What accomplishment are you most proud of?

My little boy Jude is my biggest and best accomplishment!
