What is your role within MCS?

I’m a Senior Recruitment Consultant in the US market. I engage with tech companies to help them find the best tech talent on the market and support them in diversifying their teams. I also work closely with tech professionals to help them find that ideal next move as well as inform them about the market and support them through interview and onboarding processes.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

The people! I love building relationships with clients and candidates alike. I take the time to get to know the people that I’m engaging with and, over time, it feels more like I’m picking up the phone to catch up with close friends rather than hiring managers and candidates! This also includes my colleagues at MCS Group, who are the loveliest bunch of people.

What’s your soundtrack song to get you up in the morning?

Foo Fighters – All My Life.

What is one skill that helps you most in your role?

Communication. I have a background in linguistics and translation so communicating information clearly is built into everything I do! In this role that includes asking the right questions and really listening to and identifying the needs of my clients and candidates. It involves communicating information about a job or a company and also keeping all parties in the loop at every stage of the process and being transparent with feedback.

What is the most valuable piece of advice you have been given?

That’s a tough one as I’m always asking questions and picking people’s brains for advice! But I’d have to say, not to compare myself to others and instead focus on my own journey and accomplishments.

What accomplishment are you most proud of?

My 2 amazing daughters will always be my greatest achievement.
