Assistant Accountant (Study Support!)

MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a well-established company based in Newtownabbey seeking to recruit a Trainee Accountant on a full time, permanent basis.

This is a great role for someone who either has completed a placement year or has some finance experience and looking to take a step up to professional qualifications. This role will give you a variety of responsibility to allow you to take your career in a massive step forward!

The Role:

Reporting to the Finance Director, daily responsibilities include:

• Financial reporting: Help prepare financial statements, profit and loss accounts, and VAT returns
• Reconciling accounts: Reconciling financial ledgers and verifying bank deposits and payments
• Processing payments and invoices: Processing payments and invoices accurately and on time
• Preparing budgets: Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets
• Verifying expenses: Verifying company expenses and reporting discrepancies to senior management
• Liaising with In house Departments

What You Need to Succeed?

• Previous experience working in an accounting environment
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work on own initiative
