Job Description
MCS Group is proud to be partnering with a global leader in the FinTech industry as they recruit for a Senior Regulatory Reporting Associate to join their Belfast team. This company is at the forefront of the financial trading sector, facilitating multi-billion dollar deals across their many offices globally. This is an amazing opportunity to join a long-standing, well-established organisation and play a pivotal role in quality assurance against transaction reporting.
This is a brand new, full-time permanent opportunity in Belfast, offering hybrid working. You will also be joining a newly created team in the company created purely due to growth, in assessing the quality of business outputs.

What your day would look like
- Monitoring of regulatory change alongside compliance and technology contacts to maintain high quality reporting outputs
- Continual delivery of data quality improvements by working alongside upstream platforms, reporting engines and front office stakeholders
- Ensuring that existing regulatory reporting is analysed and assessed for accuracy, completeness and timeliness
- Recording and escalating data quality issues, with remediation programmes agreed and prioritised with colleagues across front office, compliance, technology and operations
- Ensuring that data quality validation rules are implemented at both a pre- and post- reporting level
- Designing and delivering mechanisms in testing regulatory reporting, QA, UAT, the delivery of change and remediation of issues identified
- Design, preparation, analysis and distribution of Operational MI to key stakeholders
Your skills
- 3+ years' experience in a similar role performing QA against transaction reporting
- Excellent regulatory reporting skills and knowledge of regulatory change
- MIFID II reporting knowledge
- Remit reporting, SFTR reporting skills are desirable
- Post-trade transparency knowledge is desirable
- Demonstrably strong communication skills - ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical team members
