MCS Group is proud to be partnering with a global leader in the FinTech industry as they embark on their next phase of expansion, building out a new team within their Belfast office. This company has gone from strength to strength to become a well-established leader in their industry with over 60 offices across the globe - and now, their Belfast office will play a key role in their next stage of growth.
To spearhead this innovative project, they are seeking to welcome talented Senior Java Software Engineers, who will work on building a world-leading piece of software which will be used across their brands all over the globe.
The Role:
- Develop pioneering software for high-performance financial trading applications used worldwide using Java, SQL, FIX Protocol & AWS
- Work in an Agile environment, focusing on Continuous Improvement and Deployment
- Collaborate in a high-performing, cross-functional team, working across the full software development lifecycle to build and drive the completion of key software features
- Ensure high code quality through unit tests and code reviews, and partner with Quality Assurance teams to deliver top-quality software

The Person:
- 4+ years experience working with Java
- Experience working with a scripting language (Python or JavaScript preferential)
- Exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure or GCP is desirable
- Previous experience designing and developing software solutions within a Broking, Trading or Banking business domain is desirable
- Experience with DevOps technologies including Ansible, Jenkins, Groovy or Team City is preferential
