Job Description
MCS Group is looking for a Senior Clinical Analyst to join our client's innovative GLP Clinical Study Analytical team.
Working in state-of-the-art laboratories, you'll play a key role in bio analysis and supervise and train analytical staff. You'll support laboratory management in delivering project phases, ensuring the labs, equipment, and personnel always remain audit-ready.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and oversee drug extraction from biological matrices using existing analytical methods for PK and residue analysis.
- Supervise and train analysts, ensuring high standards of accuracy and precision.
- Conduct investigations and root cause analysis in the laboratory and contribute to corrective actions (CAPA).
- Oversee validation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of lab equipment like HPLC and UPLC.
- Prepare and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Analytical Reports.
- Maintain GLP compliance and ensure safe working practices, adhering to COSHH and Health & Safety guidelines.
About You:
- Degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, or another relevant Science field.
- 3+ years of U/HPLC experience in a GXP/ GLP/ GMP laboratory.
- 2+ years of experience in training and supervising lab analysts.
- Expertise in Solvent and Solid Phase extractions (SPE) of drug actives from biological matrices.
- Experience with root cause analysis and CAPA implementation.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with LCMS/MS in a GXP lab.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting lab equipment (HPLC, UPLC) and compiling lab documentation.
- A proactive approach to improving lab efficiency and supporting new staff on boarding.
