Risk and Compliance Officer - Belfast
MCS Group is looking for a Risk and Compliance Officer to join a leading professional services firm based in Belfast.

Our client is a leading professional services firm based in Belfast and have multiple sites across NI & ROI. They provide an extensive range of services to their wide-ranging customer base from numerous sectors. Now is a great time to join the company as they look to add a Risk & Compliance Officer to directly support the Director of Risk and Compliance on various activities.

The Role:
As the successful Risk and Compliance Officer, you will report directly to the Director of Risk & Compliance and will be responsible for the following:
- Compliance advisory and management information (MI) reporting - review/draft/amend policies and procedures, horizon scanning, MI reports for risk committee
- Operational compliance - AML/Sanctions queries, POC when engaging with external AML onboarding platform provider, conflicts queries
- Audit and assurance - monthly compliance audits and ad-hoc assurance reviews, assisting with ISO 9001 audits
- Assisting with the delivery of training programmes for staff to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and legislative requirements
- Coordinating responses for supplier due diligence questionnaires
The Person:
The successful Risk and Compliance Officer will meet the following criteria:
- At least 2 - 4 years' experience in a similar role within the Legal or Financial Services sector
- Understanding of UK AML, CTF, CPF legal and regulatory requirements
- Strong drafting and communication skills
- Confidence in undertaking and assimilating data quickly to present to Director of Risk & Compliance on varied subject matters
- AML or Compliance qualifications are advantageous but not essential
