My client is a fast-growing financial technology firm providing cutting-edge derivatives analytics and risk management solutions for top-tier hedge funds and institutional investors. Their SaaS platform is designed to support global macro risk takers in navigating the complex rates derivatives market with high-performance analytics tools.

Backed by a strong leadership team and expanding its London presence, my client is scaling and looking to add high-calibre talent to their quant development team.

The Opportunity

This is a key hire reporting directly to the Head of Quant Development, acting as their right-hand person while leading the enhancement of analytics functionality for hedge funds trading in the rates derivatives space.

The successful candidate will have direct influence over the product's technical development and will play a critical role in scaling the platform as the company grows. This is an opportunity to step into a high-visibility role within an elite team, shaping the next generation of derivatives analytics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance and optimise the analytics functionality of the firm's SaaS platform for hedge fund clients.
  • Act as a deputy to the Head of Quant Development, contributing to both strategic direction and hands-on development.
  • Work closely with quant researchers, traders, and software engineers to refine modelling capabilities and improve market adaptability.
  • Scale the product globally, ensuring robustness and performance in a rapidly evolving market.
  • Mentor and support junior hires as the team expands.

What's on Offer?

  • Competitive Base Salary: £100,000 + Performance-Based Bonus.
  • Hybrid Work Model: 3 days in-office.
  • Benefits Package: Includes pension and private healthcare.
  • Direct Exposure to Hedge Funds & Trading Teams: Work at the cutting edge of derivatives and macro trading.
  • Ownership of Key Projects: Shape the technical direction of the firm's analytics platform.

Key Skills & Requirements

  • Strong background in quantitative development with a focus on derivatives analytics.
  • Experience with rates derivatives, global macro trading, or risk management.
  • Technical expertise in Python, or C++
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving, small-team environment, combining strategic thinking with hands-on development.
  • Passionate about building high-performance analytics tools for hedge funds.

Why Now?

This is a unique chance to join early, take ownership, and grow into a leadership role as my client continues to scale. With increasing demand from hedge fund clients and a strong product roadmap, this role is an opportunity to build something industry-defining in the derivatives space.
