Job Description
MCS Group is looking for a Contract Python Developer for a genuinely bleeding edge project in Belfast. This is a unique opportunity for someone with around 3 year's experience to get involved in a project with a real-life application, in a rapidly growing sector.
The Details
This Python Developer will build solutions which are responsible for a variety of data capture processes.
You will build low latency API's which will interact with the external specialist market.
Additionally you will design and build data models to demonstrate the relationships between multiple complex data sources.
This is the perfect contract for someone who enjoys maths and numbers, who excels at problem solving, and has 3+ year's experience of Python Development.
The role is initially for 6 months, and is looking for someone to start in the next few weeks so ideally you would have either a short notice period, or be rolling off your current assignment.
The Person
This role requires 3+ year's experience of hands on Python Development and SQL.
You will have excellent hands-on experience with AWS (ECS / Lambda) and Terraform for CI/CD.
You will have demonstrable prior experience of working with and manipulating complex data sets.
Ideally, you will have worked with AWS IoT and Modbus protocols, but this is not essential.
You must be available for hybrid working in Belfast City Centre - 3+ days per week in office for the duration of the assignment.
The Rate: £250 - £275 per day
Duration: 6 months initially (until June 2025)
