MCS Group is proud to be working with a leading manufacturer in the packaging industry known for delivering innovative, high-quality solutions. They are now seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Product Engineer to join their Product Development team at their Derry/Londonderry site.

The Role
Reporting to the Product Data Team Leader, the Product Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate product specifications aligned with customer requirements and manufacturing capabilities. This is a key role requiring strong technical, data and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate customer-supplied specifications into internal formats using AutoCAD
• Develop efficient manufacturing routes based on machine capabilities
• Generate and manage product data in SAP, including BOMs and routings
• Design and procure job-specific tooling for manufacturing use
• Maintain comprehensive and organised customer master files
• Support new business development and product improvement initiatives
• Control design changes in compliance with the Quality Management System

What You'll Need

• Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or a related discipline)
• Recent experience in design or product development
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
• Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills
• Experience with SAP (desirable)
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage and communicate complex technical data
