IT & AV Support Engineer (On-Site) - Dublin City Centre

€38,000 + €2,000 AVIXA Certification Bonus | Full-Time, Shift-Based

About the Role

A leading AV solutions provider is looking for a proactive and customer-focused IT & AV Support Engineer to support one of their key university campus clients in Dublin City Centre. This role is part of a two-person team, delivering onsite AV and IT support to staff, students, and faculty across lecture halls, classrooms, and meeting spaces.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where no two days are the same. If you enjoy problem-solving, troubleshooting AV & IT issues, and supporting live events, this could be the perfect fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • AV & IT Support - Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot audiovisual equipment (projectors, microphones, speakers, displays).
  • Live Event Support - Operate AV systems for video conferencing, live streaming, and academic presentations.
  • Customer Service - Provide technical support to faculty, staff, and students, ensuring issues are resolved quickly.
  • Problem-Solving - Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues as they arise.
  • Collaboration - Work closely with the AV company's team and the university's IT department to ensure smooth service delivery.

What We're Looking For

  • 2-4 years' experience in an IT support, AV support, or helpdesk role (preferred).
  • AV experience is a plus, but full training is provided.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows, macOS, and basic network troubleshooting.
  • Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and a team player with a "can-do" attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, reactive environment.

What's on Offer?

€38,000 base salary + €2,000 AVIXA certification bonus (training provided)
Full-time, shift-based schedule:

  • Early shift: 08:00 - 16:00
  • Late shift: 10:00 - 18:00 (rotates weekly)
  • Paid overtime or TOIL (Time Off in Lieu) for out-of-hours work
  • Work with a leading AV company on a key university client site
  • Dublin City Centre location - excellent transport links
