Mechanical Design Engineer

I am on the lookout for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join my client based in Dungannon.

You will join the highly successful, growing manufacturing company as a Mechanical Design Engineer to work on various projects, new design concepts, and releases.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Take ownership and deliver on a range of projects
• Innovate design solutions for NPI, service fixes, and product improvements
• Ensure that product and system design meet all legislation, customer requirements, and budget
• Take system, structural, and functional requirements from the product team specification and deliver the required detailed solution.
• Prototype build support and testing
• Design detailing, accurate BOM compilation, and drawing release
• Coordinate with other parts of the engineering team
• Identify and implement cost-reduction opportunities
• Adhere to company policies regarding statutory obligations and H&S requirements.
• Failure investigation and analysis, including introduction of containment and countermeasures.

Essential Criteria:

• Degree qualified in mechanical engineering or similar discipline
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing/ heavy manufacturing setting
• A strong passion for engineering and a desire to be hands-on
• Experience with 3D CAD system operation
• Effective communication skills, oral and written
