Maintenance Technician

MCS Group is proud to be working with one of the top 20 global pharmaceutical companies, to recruit a Maintenance Technician to join their growing team.

As a maintenance technican you will be responsible for carrying out day to day electrical and mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing facility comprising of both preventive and reactive.

You Will:

• Rectify and support electrical and mechanical breakdowns efficiently and effectively
• Communicate, record any changes, relevant information fully to other personnel and complete maintenance documentation.
• Take reasonable care for the health and safety of self and others, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
• To carry out routine/preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical components of the plant and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensure that all works are carried out to a high standard.
• Ensure all H&S (Health and Safety) procedures are adhered to including Permit to Work, Comply with systems at all times.
• Comply with Health & Safety requirements: as per training, policies, procedures, risk assessments, method statements, safe systems of work etc.
• Create maintain & enhance effective working relationships with key stakeholders.

Essential Criteria:

• Completed apprenticeship in Electrical or mechanical discipline within a manufacturing industry;
• BTEC ONC qualification (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline;
• A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment;
• Experience in carrying out electrical and mechanical fault finding and planned maintenance;
• Logical and well organised approach to problem solving;
• Ability to work shift
