The Role:

We are recruiting a Maintenance Engineer on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business in Belfast. You will be responsible for planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

🔧 Maintain & repair production machinery, conveyors, automation, PLCs
🔧 Troubleshoot mechanical & electrical faults to minimise downtime
🔧 Assist with machine set-ups, changeovers, and upgrades
🔧 Perform root cause analysis and implement solutions
🔧 Maintain health & safety standards and ensure compliance

What You Need:

✔ Level 4 Engineering Qualification (HNC/HND)
✔ Machine operating & troubleshooting experience
✔ Knowledge of pneumatics, conveyors, automation & PLCs
✔ Ability to read mechanical & electrical drawings
✔ Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills

💡 Desirable (but not essential):
➕ 3+ years' experience (preferably in food manufacturing)
➕ Welding & plumbing experience
➕ Forklift licence, confined space training, or 5S knowledge

Working Pattern:

📅 4-day working week (Monday-Friday)
📅 Rotating shifts with a primary maintenance day on Fridays
