Job Description
MCS Group is proud to be working once again with one of their clients in the utilities sector as they seek to appoint a Project Manager to their growing team.
The successful candidate will be working on a variety of IT projects with a strong focus on ERP systems.
(Hybrid - Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Dublin)
The Role
- Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop and manage the overall project plan, timelines, and deliverables for the ERP implementation.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the main point of contact between the project team, business units, and executive stakeholders.
- Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources (budget, personnel, tools) efficiently throughout the project.
- Risk & Issue Management: Identify potential risks and issues early on, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure they are addressed promptly.
- Team Coordination: Lead cross-functional teams (IT, operations, finance) to ensure seamless collaboration and timely progress.
- Quality Control: Ensure the ERP system meets business requirements through proper testing, feedback, and user training.
- Change Management: Facilitate smooth adoption of the new ERP system, including managing user training and addressing resistance to change.
- Budget & Cost Control: Monitor project budget, ensure cost-efficiency, and report financial status to stakeholders.
The Person
- 2+ years experience in Project Management roles within IT.
- Commercial experience on at least 1 major ERP project be that an implementation, upgrade or roll-out.
- Full right to work in Ireland or UK and availability to travel when necessary for the role. Ideally the candidate will be located close to offices in Cork, Dublin, Limerick or Kerry which will make collaboration with senior leaders easier but other locations are available for the right candidate.
The Rewards
- Salary up to 48,000. Negotiable DOE.
