A leading enterprise software company is looking for an Internal Systems Manager to take ownership of its IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while driving its transition to a fully cloud-based environment.

This role offers the opportunity to lead business-critical IT projects, work with modern Microsoft 365 and Azure technologies, and mentor a junior system administrator, making a tangible impact on the company's IT strategy.

The Role

As Internal Systems Manager, you will be the go-to IT expert, responsible for managing and evolving the company's IT infrastructure. With a mix of on-premise and cloud-based systems, your role will be pivotal in leading key initiatives such as cloud migration, IT security improvements, and optimising system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain corporate IT systems, ensuring stability and security.
  • Lead the migration from on-premise infrastructure to Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
  • Oversee device management and security policies using Intune.
  • Support business operations, troubleshooting and resolving critical IT issues.
  • Manage IT compliance controls and assist in audits.
  • Mentor a junior system administrator, providing guidance and professional development.
  • Handle onboarding/offboarding processes and IT asset procurement.

What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server infrastructure.
  • Expertise in Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams).
  • Experience with Azure cloud technologies and migrating on-prem systems to the cloud.
  • Knowledge of Intune for device management and security.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, particularly in enterprise IT environments.
  • The ability to work independently and proactively manage IT systems.

Bonus:

  • Experience working in an MSP environment.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks and IT audits.
