MCS Group are delighted to be assisting a market leader within the IT/Tech sector source an Interim Finance Manager.

We are delighted to be partnering with our client EXCLUSIVELY on this role.

Immediate/Urgent Need.

Belfast City Centre Location.

3-6 months Duration

The Role:

You will be reporting directly to the Financial Controller & CFO & duties will include:

• Execute accounting processes including revenue recognition and other technical accounting areas
• Lead the Monthly financial close to ensure completeness of the day-to-day activities
• Responsible for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures, i.e., journal entries, account reconciliations including payroll, month-end production of Group consolidation
• Review balance sheet and income statement fluctuation analysis on a monthly and quarterly basis for management and audit review
• Manage Cash functions including timely reconciliations and funding for international entities
• Maintain a strong internal control environment, updating controls and processes as needed
• Manage the Fixed Assets and streamline fixed asset tracking
• Promote a culture of improvement and operational innovation to improve processes
• Over time supervise and develop the team and support their professional growth
• Assist with financial analysis and special projects as needed
• Management of payroll and pension services, including journal preparation
• Manage VAT reporting and compliance
• Manage UK tax reporting including PSA and P11d
• Manage UK reporting activities
• Manage cash monitoring
• Support in approval of payments
• Manage & support Grant applications and reporting
• Support external and internal auditors

The Person:

The successful candidate will be highly organised, resilient, and able to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment with the ability to adapt to change. The ideal candidate will work both independently and within a team and show initiative to seek ways to improve processes and efficiency where necessary.

Experience Required:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
• Experience of managing or leading a team
• Experience of accounting for international subs essential and experience in international payroll is desirable
• Experience in Enterprise Software is highly desirable.
• Experience of Sage Intacct or similar software
• Experience in financial management software and advanced Excel skills.
• Thorough understanding of accounting principles. Knowledge of regulatory requirements UK listed companies highly desirable.
• Experience across Microsoft office applications and ability to master new software systems
• Strong problem solving
• International currency and Foreign Exchange experience is desirable
• Experience of working within an International finance team is desirable
• Excellent working knowledge of UK GAAP
