Job Description

HR Manager - County Kildare - Manufacturing.

I am delighted to be exclusively partnering with a leading manufacturing organisation based in County Kildare who are looking to add an HR Manager to their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The role:

You will be responsible for overseeing all human resource functions, from recruitment and talent management to employee relations, performance management, and regulatory compliance. This role is essential in ensuring a high-performing and engaged workforce within the fast-paced manufacturing industry.

The main responsibilities:

  • Lead the recruitment process, including advertising job roles, screening, interviewing, and onboarding for various positions within manufacturing, logistics, sales, and management.
  • Design and manage induction programmes that ensure new hires are effectively integrated into the company and understand their roles, responsibilities, and career progression opportunities.
  • Identify and coordinate training and development programmes to enhance the skills of employees in technical, operational, and administrative roles.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers on setting performance standards, conducting appraisals, and managing underperformance.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, handling issues such as grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution in line with company policies and employment law.
  • Assist in the development of health and safety policies relevant to the manufacturing sector, ensuring that all practices are compliant with regulations.
  • Promote a positive work culture and implement initiatives to enhance employee morale, retention, and engagement.
  • Develop and lead employee engagement surveys, analyse feedback, and work with leadership to implement improvements.

The ideal candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field.
  • CIPD qualification (Level 5 or higher) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, ideally within the manufacturing or packaging industry.
  • Strong knowledge and hands on experience of Irish employment law and HR best practices.
