Learning & Development Lead - Multi-national Organisation - Greater Belfast Area
MCS Group is absolutely thrilled to be partnering with a multinational organisation based in the Greater Belfast area, who currently require an experienced Learning & Development Lead on a permanent, full-time basis. The role
Reporting to the HR Director, the Learning & Development Lead will partner with key stakeholders across the organisation, focused on developing growth programmes for their employees to ensure top talent is identified and developed appropriately, as well as developing best in class management development programmes. The role will be heavily involved on the design and delivery of training for all staff, sourcing specialist external training when required.
On a day-to-day basis, the Learning & Development Lead will be responsible for all training matters from business wide training needs analysis, creating bespoke training for all staff. These training programmes will be creative, tailored in line with organisational values and commercial direction, providing innovative solutions to ensure all new employees receive the high-quality induction and onboarding process. Another huge part of the role will involve the creation of clear career pathways for staff at all levels, as well as creating development programmes to ultimately create future leaders.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing and maintaining a skills matrix for each staff member, responsible for development of staff, ensuring they have tangible career goals to work towards, leading to a highly motivated and engaged workforce. The Learning & Development Lead will also take the lead on organisations skills academy, pipelining strong future talent through local colleagues and universities, ensuring the organisation are firmly an employer of choice.
Employee engagement is high on the company agenda, with the Learning & Development Lead supporting on various initiatives to enhance employment engagement, acting as a true ambassador for the company values.
The successful candidate
To apply for this outstanding Learning & Development Lead opportunity, it is essential you possess the following:
- 3 + years experience working at L&D Manager level or above
- Relevant 3rd Level Qualification
- Experience in creating career pathways for early careers
- A proven track record of delivering robust training systems
- Experience of developing bespoke training, with the ability to identify knowledge gaps and develop training to address them
- Experience of developing and skills academy
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- A CIPD training qualification is also a desirable
