Factory Manager

MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting a Factory Manager for our client operating within the FMCG/manufacturing environment based in Belfast.

Our client is a very well-established organisation who are focused on enhancing and developing their business through significant investment. Based on site, in Belfast, this new role as Factory Manager will focus on ensuring the plant, people and processes are set up for success in the future.

As the Factory Manager you will be responsible for the management of the full Belfast operational activity. This role will play a key role in optimising the plants performance through continuous improvement initiatives to facilitate future business growth.

• You will champion and drive the teams through your vision to enhance the lean and continuous improvement culture of the business.
• You will provide a clear and concise plan to support and make decisions regarding strategic investment on the site.
• You will manage but also support your management team to ensure they execute and deliver on operational objectives through effective leadership, whilst promoting a proactive attitude and creating a continuous improvement environment from which the team can strive for excellence.

The successful candidate will have:

• At least 5 year's experience in a similar/ leadership role with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, with a lean six sigma qualification, project management and a Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH or equivalent)
• Excellent communication, strong initiative, analytical, time management and IT skills
