Job Description
MCS Group is partnering with our specialist Manufacturing client in Belfast to recruit a Facilities Manager.
Our client is recognised as an industry leader in the manufacture of complex components for the automotive industry worldwide.
In this role you will be responsible for managing, maintaining and improving all plant/factory facilities.
This will include:
- Manage service contracts and continuously review the efficiency of providing services in house or by contract.
- Project-manage the installation, commissioning and working of facilities / energy improvement projects and ensure stakeholders are fully informed.
- Ensure an effective monitoring system for the consumption of gas and electricity throughout the plant.
- Reduce operating costs by driving suppliers and improvement projects
The successful candidate will:
- Have attained a Building Services or Engineering qualification at HND level or equivalent
- 2 years' experience from a plant maintenance environment
- Experience of managing a team
- Experience of negotiating contracts
- Experience of managing contractors on site
- Analytical ability and organisational skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and team skills
- Strong IT skills
