This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in estimating. Key Responsibilities:
Tender Administration & Management
Log and manage all tender enquiries, maintaining accurate electronic and paper records.
Review and organise all relevant tender documentation, including drawings, specifications, and bid requirements.
Identify key suppliers and alternative options for tender submissions.
Perform take-offs (counting and measuring) from drawings to quantify labour, materials, and plant requirements.
Prepare and issue bid packages to suppliers, ensuring strict deadlines are met.
Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely receipt of tender prices.
Input and maintain all data within estimation software.
Identify inclusions and exclusions within bids to provide accurate pricing.
Collaborate with the Design and Contract Management teams to optimise contract methodology, incorporating value engineering and emerging technologies.
Develop a structured programme and timeline for each tender submission.
Additional Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong relationships with main contractors, consulting engineers, quantity surveyors, and client representatives.
Proactively seek out new tender opportunities.
Challenge conventional practices by demonstrating innovative, commercial, and profit-driven approaches.
Carry out any other duties as required by the Commercial Director.
Candidate Requirements:
Minimum 2 years' experience
Proven ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across all levels of management.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to take direction and follow instructions effectively.
