This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in estimating. Key Responsibilities:

Tender Administration & Management

  • Log and manage all tender enquiries, maintaining accurate electronic and paper records.

  • Review and organise all relevant tender documentation, including drawings, specifications, and bid requirements.

  • Identify key suppliers and alternative options for tender submissions.

  • Perform take-offs (counting and measuring) from drawings to quantify labour, materials, and plant requirements.

  • Prepare and issue bid packages to suppliers, ensuring strict deadlines are met.

  • Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely receipt of tender prices.

  • Input and maintain all data within estimation software.

  • Identify inclusions and exclusions within bids to provide accurate pricing.

  • Collaborate with the Design and Contract Management teams to optimise contract methodology, incorporating value engineering and emerging technologies.

  • Develop a structured programme and timeline for each tender submission.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with main contractors, consulting engineers, quantity surveyors, and client representatives.

  • Proactively seek out new tender opportunities.

  • Challenge conventional practices by demonstrating innovative, commercial, and profit-driven approaches.

  • Carry out any other duties as required by the Commercial Director.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience

  • Proven ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across all levels of management.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

  • Ability to take direction and follow instructions effectively.
