Overview

MCS Group is delighted to partner with a leading law firm in Belfast to recruit a talented Employment Solicitor to join their dynamic team. This role involves advising clients on a broad spectrum of employment law matters, including tribunal representation, contracts, and workplace policies, while working with a diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities

• Legal Advice: Provide expert guidance on employment law issues, policies, and procedures.
• Case Management: Handle employment tribunal claims, including pre-litigation strategies and dispute resolution.
• Contracts & Agreements: Draft and review employment contracts, policies, and settlement agreements.
• Client Representation: Advocate for clients in employment disputes, hearings, and negotiations.
• Compliance & Industry Updates: Stay informed on evolving employment legislation and case law.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor (NQ - 5+ PQE) with experience in employment law.
• Strong advocacy, negotiation, and client management skills.
• Proven ability to provide pragmatic, commercial advice.
• Excellent drafting and communication skills.
• A proactive, solution-focused approach.

Desirable Attributes

• Experience advising corporate clients and SMEs.
• Confidence in delivering training or presentations on employment law topics.
• Interest in HR consultancy and workplace dispute resolution.
