About the role

The Corporate Analyst will provide organisation-wide support to IT users, ensuring the effective utilisation of corporate applications. They will be responsible for delivering work packages as defined by project and program managers. The postholder will also provide coverage for the IS Help Desk and other IT functions within a team support environment.

Key Responsibilities

The following duties are typical and not intended to be a comprehensive list of all tasks:

  • Ensure business and application development align with corporate plans and objectives.
  • Provide support to corporate IT users for all software applications, ensuring effective corporate systems are in place and undertake research, development, and evaluation of new technology.
  • Ensure testing and implementation of corporate system upgrades are carried out effectively to minimise downtime and disruption.
  • Prepare specifications for interfaces and custom-built changes in consultation with users, refining these through testing to achieve cost-effective solutions.
  • Review requests for changes requiring new or amended software, monitoring and assessing these against existing licensing agreements to achieve optimal solutions.
  • Deliver appropriate training for all corporate users on the requisite technology/software platforms to meet user competency needs.
  • Respond to help desk queries as required, seeking resolutions through internal or external resources to provide effective outcomes.
  • Monitor user adherence to corporate IT standards and procedures, assisting users in IT best practices with a view to introducing and developing quality systems and ITIL procedures.
  • Review industry and function best practices, trends, and developments to provide the best possible up-to-date advice and service to users.
  • Mentor and train IT clerical staff to ensure high competency standards.
  • Ensure appropriate consideration is given to the organisation's equality duties and specific commitments associated with the job role.

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum of 2 years' technical support or related customer service experience in a software environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience with computer hardware and network operating systems, with expertise in troubleshooting hardware and software compatibility issues across various configurations.

Desirable Criteria

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience with cloud computing, including migrating "on-premise" applications to the cloud.

Qualifications

  • Possess a minimum of an HNC/HND or equivalent in an IT or Business-related qualification.

Technical Job Skills

  • Understand network performance standards, service desk procedures, corporate quality and change management processes, and ITIL.
  • Possess a good understanding of all aspects of IT and an awareness of legislation and developments within the IT industry.

Remuneration:

  • Salary DOE
  • Monday to Thursday 9 - 5:30 and Friday 9 - 2
  • Fantastic Benefits!
  • 2 days in office 3 days WFH.
