Contract QA Engineer

MCS Group is looking for an experienced QA Engineer for a contract position with a FinTech Powerhouse in Belfast. As QA Engineer, you will work on a brand new, cutting-edge, greenfield, financial-trading application which will be used by traders and trading companies. This QA Engineer will join ASAP for 6 months initially although the client can wait up to 4 weeks for a notice period to complete.

The Role:

You will work on a cutting edge application for use in the financial trading sector.

You will get involved in code reviews, working to identify and remove issues and defects.

To succeed in this role, you will be required to solve problems creatively, communicate effectively, and work well both on your own, and as part of a team.

The Person

This role is predominantly manual testing, so automation skills are not required.

Large data-set experience is essential and knowledge of ETL is preferred.

You will have strong Linux and SQL experience (essential) and ideally some exposure to Cloud technologies (GCP preferred)

You will have previously used JIRA for bug tracking and management.

Prior experience of testing Financial Trading Platforms is advantageous.

Daily Rate: Highly competitive rates available
IR35: Inside
Duration: 6 months initially
Location: HYBRID- this contract requires 2 days on-site in Belfast weekly.
