C++ Software Engineer - Hedge Funds, Financial Services & Market Data

Our client, a leading managed services provider based in Cambridge, is currently seeking a C++ Software Engineer to join their dynamic and growing team. This role offers the chance to work with a 40+team in Cambridge, with fantastic opportunities for personal and technical growth, working on the latest cutting edge tech.

You'll begin your journey on one of the best graduate programmes in the world - a 2 weeks intensive training course, fully paid, where you will learn the skills necessary, before returning to hone your craft.

As a C++ Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing applications written in C/C++ supporting low latency trading platforms for high profile clients in the Hedge Fund space, all whilst working across the full development life cycle. On top of this, you will be required to carry out system integration, regression testing and enhance automated regression testing tools to increase overall test coverage.

Qualifications:

• Ideally 2-3 years experience in a development focused role
• The ability to demonstrate previous experience with C++ including STL / Boost.
• Degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Computer Science or comparable scientific discipline.
• Experience in working with Linux/Unix environments e.g. Red-Hat, CentOS.
• Scripting knowledge of BASH, Perl and Python.
• Proficiency with system testing and debugging tools.
• Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Experience with Agile working, TDD / BDD, CI / CD.
