MCS are delighted to be working alongside a prestigious global law firm who are seeking a Banking Solicitor with 1 to 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) to join their dynamic Banking Team in Belfast. Job Description:
The successful candidate will be involved in advising a range of clients, including lenders and borrowers, on various syndicated and bilateral financing transactions. This will include acquisition finance, real estate finance, social housing, education finance, and general corporate lending.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Advising on complex financing transactions under both English and Northern Irish law.
- Managing a broad caseload of banking and finance matters, acting for UK and European banks as well as borrowers.
- Supporting clients with innovative, commercial legal solutions.
- Collaborating with colleagues across the firm's international offices to deliver multi-jurisdictional legal services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle a wide range of banking and finance transactions, ensuring a high-quality legal service.
- Work directly with clients, providing clear and commercially focused legal advice.
- Contribute to business development initiatives and help foster strong client relationships.
- Stay up-to-date with market practices and developments in banking law.
Requirements:
- Qualified solicitor with 1 to 5 years of PQE in banking and finance, gained in a leading law firm.
- Experience in general corporate lending and real estate finance transactions.
- Strong technical skills, coupled with commercial awareness and enthusiasm for business development.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a client-focused approach.
