Assistant Accountant

MCS Group is delighted to partnering with a manufacturing company based Belfast to recruit for an Assistant Accountant on a full time, permanent basis.

The Role of the Assistant Accountant:

Reporting to the Finance Manager daily duties involve:

• Covering a variety of tasks within the department including accounts receivable, management accounts and various levels of reporting
• Assist with collation and input of monthly data and uploads
• Calculate and journal key monthly accruals
• Preparation of bank account reconciliations
• Staff expenses including petty cash
• Assist in the company budget process
• Provide cover for the weekly payroll processor

What You Need to Succeed to be the successful Assistant Accountant:

• At least 2 years recent experience in a similar role within industry / practice
• Part qualified or qualified by experience
• Well organised with the ability to prioritise work
