Job Description
MCS Group is seeking a 2nd Line Support Engineer to join a Belfast-based Managed Service Provider who works with some of NI's most recognisable brands and businesses. In this role, you will provide, level 2 support across a wide variety of IT infrastructure and applications, and would also give you exposure to project work outside of your day-to-day troubleshooting duties.
In it for you
- A salary, dependant upon experience, of £28k-£35k
- 5 days on-site, with occasional travel to client locations across NI
- Be supported in gaining new certifications, but more importantly, get the opportunity to put them to use immediately
The role
- Act as an escalation point for the 1st line engineers
- Resolve your client's technical issues in a professional, and timely manner, ensuring all their needs are met throughout your interactions
- You will spend some time helping the wider project teams during client site visits for new installs, and IT refreshes
- Work within a collaborative, supportive, team and support the wider technology teams as and when needed
Needed to succeed
- A valid driver's licence
- Hands-on experience in supporting, and troubleshooting MS Azure
- Know your way around the MS Office 365 suite of applications with a particular focus on supporting SharePoint
- Wide troubleshooting experience and ability to diagnose, and ultimately resolve networking issues, backup technologies, or other
